When I first took up Illustrator, this poster was my first foray into applying shading. I've gone back and updated it a bit since then.
This character was based on a man who appeared on a kids TV show in a heavily padded bat costume. He's the kind of guy that shouldn't be a kid's TV mascot: Fat, balding, and most of the time, drunk.
